Richard Byrnes, D.O.
Dr. Byrnes is a graduate of St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He served an Internship at Oakland General Hospitals in Madison Heights, Michigan, and was a Surgical Resident at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, New Jersey.
He is Board Certified in Family Medicine by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association, and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Family Physicians Society. He is an Active Staff member at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, and he is a member of the Courtesy Staffs at St. Luke's-Quakertown and Doylestown Hospitals. He has been in active Family Practice since 1974.
Dr. Byrnes is married and lives with his wife, Mary Beth, in Hilltown. His main interests outside of medicine include the great outdoors, walking the dogs, playing Irish music, travel, bicycling, skiing, and model aviation. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife, their children and grandchildren, family, and friends.
Mary Beth Byrnes, MSN, RN, CNS
Mary Beth Byrnes has been the Nurse Manager of the practice since 1988. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Gywnedd Mercy University, Gwynedd Valley, Pennsylvania. She is a Clinical Nurse Specialist holding a Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau, Nursing's Honor Society.
Prior to joining the practice Mary Beth worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Abington Memorial Hospital, and was a Nursing Instructor at the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
When not working Mary Beth enjoys playing the harp, traveling, heirloom sewing, photo editing, information technology, and cooking. She enjoys spending her free time with her family and grandchildren.
